Associate Prof Stefan Heinze
Deputy Director of Radiology, Royal Melbourne Hospital
Stefan is Deputy Director of Imaging at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. He learnt prostate MRI with Professor Hedvig Hricak at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as part of a Body Imaging Fellowship in 2000/1; prior to this he gained experience in prostate US and TRUS guided prostate biopsy at St. George’s Hospital in London. He subsequently established the prostate MRI service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in 2002. Stefan has convened the MRI Masterclass since its inception and teaches regularly at similar workstation based courses. He is a member of a cross-specialty committee involved in an application for Federal funding of prostate MRI. He established the first in-bore MR-guided biopsy service in Victoria at RMH in 2016.
Dr Peter Swindle
Urologist, Mater Private Hospital
Peter Swindle is an urologist who specialises solely in prostate cancer. His expertise lies in robotic prostatectomy and he has a special interest in MRI of the prostate. He trained in Queensland and subsequently completed a Masters of Surgery at the University of Sydney on magnetic resonance of the prostate. Peter then undertook a 2 year subspecialty Fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York focusing on prostate cancer and undertook two years research on MRI of the prostate. He also completed an American Brachytherapy Fellowship at the Seattle Prostate Institute. Peter has a research appointment at the Mater Medical Research Institute as well as clinical appointments at the Mater Private Hospital, Mater Adults Hospital, Greenslopes Private Hospital and the Wesley Hospital.
Associate Prof Daniel Moses

A/Prof Daniel Moses graduated from the University of New South Wales with a combined degree in Science (Mathematics/Physics) and Medicine. He completed his training in radiology at Prince of Wales Hospital. He was then awarded the Thomas Baker Fellowship from the RANZCR to travel to New York, where he obtained fellowships (certificates of advanced training) in Thoracic Radiology and Body MRI from New York University from 2002-2005. He is currently Director of Medical Imaging of the Northern Network of Hospitals, SESLHD and holds a senior staff specialists position with a subspecialty in body, thoracic and cardiac radiology.
